Fishing Reports

Pisces Fish Report—May 20th to May 26th, 2017

Date: 5/29/2017

This week was the tale of two bites, the inshore roosterfish bite and the offshore yellowfin tuna bite. Pisces boats focused on the inshore roosters in the first half of the week, landing some very large specimens that were sure to give any angler a thrill as they reached anywhere from 45 up to 60lbs. While we saw the tuna bite get hotter in the second half of the week, with some boats landing fish from football size in large numbers up to a fish in the triple digits.

Pisces Fish Report—May 6th to May 12th, 2017

Date: 5/14/2017

This week we saw a fairly good catch success rate for the boats that went out, the week started with just two boats and then on the 7th and 8th we had a port closure due to strong wind conditions, which lead to rough seas. Striped marlin made up the bulk of the fish encountered by Pisces crews this week, with some inshore fish, such as: yellowtail, roosterfish, jack crevalle, grouper and red snapper, as well as the odd wahoo.

Pisces Fish Report—April 29th to May 5th, 2017

Date: 5/10/2017

This week we saw some declines in our catch success rate, with some days being quite good fishing, and others not so much. However, those who caught fish had a nice little variety of inshore fish, as well as striped marlin mostly. The main species caught inshore by Pisces boats this week were ladyfish, red snapper, roosterfish, yellowtail, skipjack, jack crevalle, and sierra mackerel (as well as the odd wahoo offshore). Top boat this week in terms of marlin catches was the Pisces Bill Collector, captained by Juan Carlos Lopez, they managed to catch and release. . .

Fishing Reports

Pisces Fish Report—April 22nd to April 28th, 2017

Date: 5/1/2017

This week saw a complete turnaround and went offshore, we’ve been talking about the great inshore fishing that we’ve been having for about the last month or so. Now it seems that the striped marlin bite is starting to come back. Boats were mostly offshore between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas at the 11:50 Spot and the Cabrillo seamount, chasing after striped marlin. We had an amazing day on the 22nd with 42 striped marlin released (100% of all marlin caught), most boats landed multiple marlin catches on caballito live bait, from anywhere between 3-5 striped marlin being landed per boat.
