Pisces Fishing Reports
Fishing Reports Date: 6/24/2017
Our week started off with most boats catching fish, and then tapering off until with most boats skunked on the 23rd, unfortunately the same day as the start of the annual Stars and Striped charity tournament. Boats travelled high and low this week in search of fish, with a range of places being productive. We saw the most consistent inshore catches around el Tule on the Corridor, with some of the species seen being: roosterfish, triggerfish, jack crevalle, skipjack, yellowtail, amberjack, pompano, red snapper and green jacks. Offshore fishing was spread out from the Old Lighthouse all the way to Punta Gorda in San Jose and in some cases travelling many miles offshore.

Andrew and Jennifer Stutzman didn’t know what they were in for when they signed up for a trip aboard Tiburon, one of Pisces standard cruisers, a 31 ft Bertram. Andrew a 38-year-old pilot for American Airlines was excited to venture out with his bride for his first ever marlin fishing trip.

Very good fishing this week on all fronts, we saw most of the offshore bite at the 11:50 Spot at the beginning of the week to then spread out a bit. As far as inshore fishing goes, we’ve still been seeing the big rooster action. With the bite being excellent, up and down the coast from Cabo along the corridor, almost to San Jose.

This week it was mostly striped marlin that we saw aboard Pisces boats, with a very good catch success rate of 90% overall. It seems like the marlin bite continued most days out at the 11:50 Spot, with some of the boats landing multiple fish. In the same area were found the odd wahoo and even more rarely this week dorado.
