This week dorado numbers have risen and we still have ongoing Finger Bank action, which never disappoints! Although we have seen marlin and tuna numbers go down a few percentage points compared to last week, some of the tuna caught in the past few weeks has been of great size! Most have been around the 20 to 30 lbs mark, but we have seen a couple over 100 lbs hitting the dock. Again, a wonderful week of fishing in Cabo.

More Striped Marlin and Yellowfin tuna this week along with the seemingly never-ending Finger Bank action! Plus an estimated 500 lbs Blue Marlin released aboard Pisces 31’ Rebecca and some fun small game, which included grouper, sierra, pompano and triggerfish. Dorado numbers have gone down quite a bit, but still around for those looking hard to find them.

The amazing Finger Bank action continues! Marlin that was being found closer to Cabo between the Old Lighthouse and Margaritas area are a bit more scarce; showing up in good numbers at the Golden Gate bank instead. Up to 7 marlin caught here by Pisces 35’ Valerie, with an average of 2-3 per boat. Tuna numbers have risen slightly compared to last week, although captains are still going quite a distance to find them. Dorado are also around and smaller game fish have included grouper, wahoo and only a few roosterfish.

Another amazing week of fishing in Cabo! The Finger Bank continues to delight us with EXCELLENT fishing, double digits of striped marlin and sailfish for anyone that heads up there. Blue marlin caught this week as well, along with a larger number of wahoo compared to last week, and dorado numbers holding strong. There has been more variety in what anglers are searching out this week too, but Cabo fishing has proven why its #1 in the world, as those seeking other species have found them, including roosterfish, sierra mackerel and grouper, as welll as tuna. Beginning this week, as mentioned briefly in our previous fish report, the Pisces 32’ Bill Collector landed a monster 201 tuna, to continue their amazing fishing streak!

This bite is like we haven't seen in a long time and the weather cant be beat either. So I’ll get right to it, but first, did you read our stats above? 100% catch success rate this week! That means, every boat we had out this week, all sixty-eight of them, caught fish. The Finger Banks are still producing marlin in the double digits; including a personal record-breaking 60 striped marlin caught and released by Pisces 32’ Bill Collector owner aboard, Mark Chiavetta on November 27th (He also caught and released two silky sharks and landed a few dorado). However, the marlin isn’t just at the Finger Bank. Again this week strong marlin numbers closer by to Cabo, from the Old Lighthouse to Las Margaritas area, where the dorado have shown up too. Double digits of dorado have also been common this week, with boats respecting catch limits and releasing. Tuna are still around, although anglers have been targeting the other species more heavily.
