Overall Catch Success rate: 96% 
Billfish 39%, Dorado 68%, Tuna 16%, Other 5%

 

Amazing fishing this week with 96% of boats catching fish, and lots of it! We had 447 Dorado Caught (of course all catch and size limits respected), 41 Tuna, 34 Billfish Released and only a handful of other species caught, including a few Wahoo and a surprise 20 lbs Roosterfish on Pisces 31’ Ruthless even.

Pisces 35' Bill Collector 2


BIG YELLOWFIN showed up this week too - three awesome back to back days on Pisces 35 and 32 foot Bill Collectors with the largest caught weighing in at 193 lbs. Others ranged between 50 and 100 lbs!



Back to back to back! Three days of nonstop YFT action with the Bill Collectors! This day was 7 Big Yellowfin between 50 and 100 lbs, plus 4 Dorado too!


What a day on Pisces 38' C Rod for this young angler: 3 Striped Marlin Released plus Lots of Tuna!


Pisces 38’ C Rod also landed a decent size tuna this week, in the 100 lbs range and quite a few Striped Marlin Released!


Awesome Blue Marlin shots taken by Daniel Hanson Jr. who caught two Blues aboard Pisces 31' Ruthless with Friends, PLUS limits on Dorado early on!


As for Billfish, the highlight of the week was Pisces 35’ Valerie which had a Billfish GRAND SLAM. That’s three different species of Billfish in only 8 hours of fishing for anglers Aaron Callahan, Christopher Wooten and Mark Koehler aboard. Billfish caught: Blue Marlin, Sailfish and Striped Marlin plus they kept a 20 lbs Dorado.


27 Dorado caught on Pisces 42' Sea Senora this day! Plus sailfish Release!

Dorado catches have been out of control - Top Dorado boat this week, Pisces 42’ Sea Senora caught a whopping 27 Dorado (15 released) plus a Sailfish Released.




Amazing Dorado catches for Pisces 28' Andrea - 16 Dorado plus a few Tuna this day!

The most productive fishing this week was between San Jaime (moreso for Billfish) and the Pacific side in general for Dorado from 5 to 20 miles Up the Coast. Only a few boats heading to the Iman and some areas of East Cape. Water temperatures are still high, reaching temps between 84 and 87 F.

LOCATION: San Jaime, Pacific Coast: Margaritas - Migrino. +- 30 Miles South for Tuna. 

 

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Overall Calm seas, some swell beginning the week. Sunny skies.

 

AVERAGE WATER TEMP: 84-87

 

BEST LURES: Caballito bait, cedar plugs, feathers, hoochis, green/yellow, guacamayo lures, rapala.
